Maryam Obeyd Therapy is a California psychotherapy practice offering culturally responsive, liberation-centered therapy for individuals, couples, and partners. Maryam specializes in sex therapy, individual therapy, and couples and relationship therapy, with in-person sessions available in Costa Mesa and Irvine and virtual therapy available throughout California.
For this project, I designed and developed a warm, elevated, and SEO-informed website that reflects the depth of Maryam’s clinical work while making her services easier for prospective clients to understand. The visual direction centered on a rich but grounded color palette, culturally meaningful imagery, clean layouts, and a soft editorial feel that allows Maryam’s voice and values to remain at the center of the site.
A major part of the project involved translating Maryam’s reflective, poetic, culturally rooted writing style into clear website copy that still performs well for search. Rather than flattening her work into generic therapy language, the site was structured to highlight the themes that make her practice distinct: intimacy, connection, embodiment, identity, culture, relational repair, collective care, and liberation.
The website includes dedicated service pages for sex therapy, individual therapy, and couples and relationship therapy, each written to support both user experience and organic search visibility. I also developed the main services page, about page structure, FAQs, fees and policies content, contact page copy, metadata, alt text, and internal linking recommendations.
In addition to the website build, I created an SEO and content marketing strategy for Maryam Obeyd Therapy, including content pillars, blog topic recommendations, local SEO priorities, and a framework for ongoing organic growth. The strategy supports visibility for therapy searches in Costa Mesa, Irvine, Orange County, and throughout California while preserving the nuance and integrity of Maryam’s work.
The final result is a website that feels personal, grounded, and aligned with Maryam’s practice while giving prospective clients clear pathways to learn about her services, understand her approach, and book a consultation.
